All standard S60 list components are touch-enabled and they have been modifier to better suit the touch usage, for example, by extending the line spacing. Despite this, some the list types still are quite small for touch and especially finger usage. Application design should carefully consider which list type to use to optimize the application for touch.
Note: If the application is intended to be finger usable, use of other single row list types than single-line item with a large graphic is not recommended.
There are also some challenges in using marking in touch UI. In a touch device without hardware keys, the marking is only available through Options-menu, which makes it both difficult for the user to discover and difficult to use with finger. Thus, use of Multiselection list is recommended instead of Markable list, wherever possible.
